The History Junkie Journal Buff - I'm Hooked

So, let me tell you a little story about how working on junk journals completely tricked me into becoming a legitimate history buff. It all started innocently enough - I decided to try my hand at creating junk journals as a fun and creative hobby. But little did I know that this seemingly harmless activity would send me spiraling down a rabbit hole of 16th Century Queens and castles.

As I began to research different themes and styles for my junk journals, I stumbled upon the fascinating world of Tudor England. I found myself completely entranced by the stories of powerful queens like Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots, and the castles they called home.

I quickly became obsessed with learning as much as I could about these iconic figures and their tumultuous reigns. I spent hours poring over historical documents, watching documentaries, and reading books about the political intrigues and scandals that shaped the era.

Before I knew it, I was spouting off random facts about the Tudor dynasty at every opportunity, much to the confusion of my friends and family. I could rant for hours about Anne Boleyn's tragic fate, or debate the merits of different interpretations of Queen Elizabeth I's reign.

My newfound obsession even extended to my junk journaling, as I began incorporating historical quotes, images, and motifs from the 16th Century into my designs. My once simple hobby had transformed into a full-blown historical reenactment, complete with elaborate costumes and period-appropriate snacks.

But hey, who can blame me? There's something undeniably captivating about the drama and intrigue of 16th Century England. And I have junk journals to thank for leading me down this unexpected path of historical discovery.

So, the next time you find yourself knee-deep in paper scraps and ephemera, just remember - you never know where your junk journaling journey might take you. Who knows, you might just find yourself becoming a full-fledged history buff like me.
